Projects 1 and 2

 

For my first piece I wanted the viewers to understand how it sometimes seems as though my husband and my children are all operating from one brain; one hilarious brain that does not take itself seriously. One of the difficulties that I encountered was placing my dog’s legs into the boots. I solved that by turning down the opacity of the tongue of the boots, placing his legs into the correct position and then cutting the tongue out of the photo completely to make it appear as though his legs were inside of them.

For the second piece I was actually incredibly happy with this project. I think the only thing that I would have done differently would be to find a way to add my dog into the photo. I was satisfied with my use of layer masks and I felt that I did a good job of making multiple characters interact in ways that made sense. For me feeling satisfied is what made it feel like a success.
